A fast-growing financial technology firm operating at the crossroads of traditional finance and digital assets. We provide institutional-grade liquidity, OTC trading, and treasury management solutions to exchanges, fintechs, and asset managers across the globe. As the firm expands internationally, we’re looking for a seasoned Head of Compliance to shape and lead our global compliance framework — ensuring we continue to operate to the highest regulatory standards as digital-asset markets evolve.
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced compliance professional from a brokerage, trading, or market‑making background, ideally with exposure to digital assets and global regulators. You’ll have the mandate to build and scale a best‑in‑class compliance programme, covering trading, custody, and operations across multiple jurisdictions — including the UK, Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement a robust global compliance framework across all business lines.
- Oversee AML, sanctions, market abuse, and transaction monitoring programmes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and auditors worldwide.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, Trading, and Product to embed compliance into core operations.
- Lead regulatory horizon scanning for crypto, securities, and financial‑market developments (MiCA, FCA crypto regime, SEC/CFTC, MAS, SFC, DFSA, ADGM, etc.).
- Build and mentor a high‑performing compliance team.
- Advise senior management and the board on key compliance risks, developments, and strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ compliance experience within a regulated brokerage, trading firm, or financial markets environment.
- Strong understanding of global financial and crypto‑asset regulation.
- Experience managing regulator relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to build or scale compliance functions in growth‑stage firms.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
- Relevant compliance or legal qualifications (e.g. ACAMS, ICA, or similar).
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset — comfortable operating in a fast‑evolving environment.
Why Join
- Define and lead global compliance for a business bridging traditional finance and crypto.
- Influence regulatory strategy in one of the fastest‑moving areas of financial services.
- Work alongside exceptional trading, tech, and legal talent.
- Competitive package, performance bonus, and long‑term incentives.
- A culture that values innovation, integrity, and collaboration.
