Our client is a leading fire safety and life safety specialist delivering installation, servicing, and maintenance solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector environments throughout London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.
The Role
As a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, installation, and inspection of portable fire extinguishers and associated fire safety equipment across a varied customer portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Service and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers in accordance with BS 5306.
- Installation and commissioning of fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and identify remedial works.
- Complete electronic service reports and compliance documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical advice to clients.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer.
- BAFE qualification or equivalent extinguisher servicing certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BS 5306 standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
