The Company

Our client is a well-established fire and security systems provider, known for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and fault-finding services across South Yorkshire and beyond. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to their team.

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, fault finding, and installation of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems for a varied client base within a 50 mile radius of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a supportive, forward-thinking company that genuinely invests in its people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently and to a high standard
  • Installing new fire alarm systems in line with British Standards (BS 5839)
  • Working independently and managing your own workload/diary
  • Liaising professionally with clients on site
  • Completing accurate paperwork/reports following each visit
  • Working safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience servicing, fault finding, and installing fire alarm systems
  • Strong knowledge of conventional and addressable systems
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. FIA units, BAFE) desirable
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
