The Role
Our client is a well-established and growing fire & security specialist seeking a Senior Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join their professional installations team. This is a hands-on, senior position for an experienced engineer who can confidently lead projects on site, carry out full system installations, and commission fire alarm systems to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential projects
- Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix installation works
- Commissioning fire alarm systems in line with BS5839 and manufacturer requirements
- Acting as the lead engineer / project manager on site
- Liaising with clients, project managers, and subcontractors
- Ensuring installations are completed on time, within scope, and to specification
- Managing quality, compliance, and health & safety on site
- Completing accurate documentation and handover to clients
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8 years’ experience within fire (and security) systems installation
- Proven experience commissioning addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Strong understanding of BS5839 standards and industry best practice
- Proven ability to project manage on site and lead installations
- Confident carrying out full end-to-end installs (1st fix to commissioning)
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
