FS Partners is delighted to be partnering with an international, London-based restaurant group to appoint a Group Finance Director.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-moving, founder-led business that is scaling fast.
Our client operates a portfolio of casual and high-end restaurant brands, with an international estate.
It's an entrepreneurial environment where finance sits right at the heart of decision-making, working closely with the Director on strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, embedding strong processes and controls as the business scales
- Maintain tight financial control, with full ownership of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, and all key accounts reconciled
- Lead year-end, auditors, statutory accounts, and tax, VAT and HMRC compliance, including hospitality-specific considerations
- Partner with the Director on cashflow, liquidity planning and financial strategy
- Own forward-looking financial models to support decisions across the group and new openings
- Lead board, investor and lender reporting, including presenting complex models and forecasts
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities and covenant reporting
- Run the FP&A function: budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting across all sites and central costs
- Develop and track KPIs, and turn data into clear, actionable insight for operations, marketing and openings
- Support pricing, menu engineering and revenue optimisation
- Drive granular cost control with site teams, Heads of Department and the Head of Commercial
- Improve site performance through margin analysis, labour optimisation, TRONC oversight and KPI tracking
- Oversee key supplier contracts and procurement initiatives
- Support commercial decisions, including site selection, lease negotiations and investment cases
- Oversee CAPEX planning and pre-opening OPEX for a pipeline of new openings
- Own and improve the finance and operational tech stack.
About You
- Proven Finance Director experience in a multi-site hospitality or consumer-facing business
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- A strong track record building complex financial models, cashflow forecasts and long-term plans
- Confident presenting to investors, lenders and boards
- Experience managing lender relationships, debt structures and covenants
- Strong commercial finance and FP&A capability
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into clear, actionable insight
- A hands-on leader who's comfortable operating strategically and in the detail
- Experience supporting new openings and CAPEX-heavy growth in a scaling business
- A strong understanding of hospitality metrics, labour models and operational drivers
- Experience with finance and operational systems
