Fryern Dental Practice is a fully private, friendly, established practice with 4 surgeries and a fantastic reputation in the area. We have a long-standing team of associates delivering dental services, supported by a team of fully-trained, qualified professional support staff. The team has 4 dentists; 1 of whom has a special interest in dental implants and 1 in helping phobic and very nervous patients, some of whom need to be treated under sedation.
We are looking for a part-time self-employed skilled Dental Hygienist to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting good oral hygiene.
Clinic times:
- Monday 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
- Assist in the identification of periodontal disease and other oral health issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and observations.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- 30 minute appointment times.
- Full Nurse support.
Licence/Certification: A suitable Dental Hygienist for this position must be GDC registered, have at least 4 years UK Dental Hygiene experience, valid indemnity insurance and right to work in the UK.
Work experience and skills:
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience as a fully qualified Dental Hygienist.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
