FryerMiles is delighted to be partnering with a major European services organisation to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to lead the finance function at their HQ in Greater London. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role covering the full accounting cycle, from transaction processing through to statutory reporting, audit, and strategic planning. With operations spanning multiple European markets and a substantial operational footprint, this organisation is undergoing significant transformation to become a more integrated, enterprise-led business. You'll be the finance cornerstone of the UK headquarters during this exciting growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Accounting
- Own end-to-end accounting: AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations
- Process and review accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journals
- Post/review payroll entries with accurate cost centre allocation
- Maintain registers for fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16), and intangibles
- Lead month-end close, producing full management accounts and variance analysis
- Own all balance sheet reconciliations and enforce strong controls
- Support Group Finance with consolidation and reporting requirements
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Manage year-end close and act as primary contact for external auditors
- Prepare/support statutory financial statements (IFRS compliant)
- Utilise and improve ERP and consolidation systems
- Ensure audit readiness, robust internal controls, and Group policy compliance
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified: ACA / ACCA
- Hands-on experience covering the full accounting cycle (bookkeeping to financial reporting)
- Proven track record managing month-end, year-end, and audit processes
- Strong IFRS technical knowledge
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivots; Power Query desirable)
- Experience with consolidation/reporting platforms
- Background in multi-entity or group environments
- Experience with modern ERP systems
- German Language (Written & Spoken)
