This is a great opportunity for an experienced hands‑on Accountant to help optimise financial processes and ensure accurate transactional flows within the organisation. Duties of the Management Accountant

  • Management Account preparation and support to the Finance Director as required.
  • Ensuring that any unallocated items are investigated proficiently and quickly.
  • Enter purchase ledger invoices onto Sage & Eque2.
  • Reconcile Supplier statements.
  • Complete a weekly payment run.
  • Carry out CIS returns
  • Reconciling bank statements.
  • Answering supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Processing of Sub‑Contractor payment applications and accounting for Retention.
  • Experience using Eque2 and Sage 50 desirable but not essential.
  • Posting of Journals.

Successful Management Accountant will

  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with suppliers.
  • Confident and effective telephone skills when taking calls as required.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel including using VLOOKUP’s and other formulas.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to
  • Experience working within Accounts in the Construction Industry/New homes building industry.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, CIS scheme and VAT reversal scheme.
