Fryer Miles are delighted to be partnering with a well-established global business operating across food, beverage, and energy supply chains in the search for a VAT Accountant to support the clearance of a backlog of historic VAT returns across multiple European jurisdictions.

This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role where you'll work closely with European VAT fiscal advisers and an in-house finance team to progress filings within a tight timeframe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns across multiple European jurisdictions
  • Working through historic VAT data methodically and accurately
  • Reconciling VAT balance sheet accounts and preparing supporting journals
  • Liaising with external fiscal advisers to ensure timely and compliant submissions
  • Flagging any discrepancies or issues to the in-house finance team

  • Have practical experience preparing VAT returns (European exposure desirable)
  • Are comfortable working through process-driven, detail-focused compliance tasks
