Finance Assistant – £26,000 - £28,000 + Study Support Company Benefits – Newbury, Berkshire (5 days in the office) Fryer Miles is partnering with a leading PE backed business based in Newbury, Berkshire, who are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a large team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The duties of the Finance Assistant include: Monitor outstanding invoices and proactively follow up overdue accounts by telephone and email.
Provide regular updates and reporting on aged receivables.
Raise sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support general finance administration and assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and relevant accounting standards.
Assisting with customer and supplier rebates Communication with internal and external stakeholders Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns Helping to prepare management accounts Preparing monthly journals The successful Finance Assistant will: Finance Accountancy Degree or similar Proactive, detailed-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excel skills (V-look-up, Pivots) Macros would be a nice to have.
