Policy & Standards Lead – SC Clearance Required – 6 month contract – £550 to £580 per day – Corsham, Hybrid
FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading Consultancy to support a major Defence programme and are looking for an experienced Policy & Standards Lead to provide strategic leadership across the governance, policy and standards activity for a new secure cloud and platform infrastructure capability.
Valid SC clearance and sole UK nationality are required. Candidates with PUID/MODNet are preferred, although this can be arranged.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead policy and standards activity on behalf of the Managing Authority.
- Provide direction and oversight to the specialist policy and standards team.
- Manage senior stakeholders across MOD, government departments, suppliers and delivery teams.
- Ensure policies and standards align with programme strategy, MOD governance and assurance requirements.
- Lead the Policies & Standards Working Group and support agreement across complex stakeholder groups.
- Support development of the future platform governance and Target Operating Model.
- Contribute to onboarding rehearsals, operational readiness and wider programme governance.
Essential Experience
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and consensus-building skills.
- Experience within governance, assurance, policy, standards or regulatory environments.
- Experience working across complex, multi-supplier programmes.
- Ability to operate autonomously within an evolving programme environment.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Desirable Experience
- MOD governance and assurance processes.
- Secure by Design principles.
- Data and AI governance.
- Governance controls and security guardrails.
- Operating model or governance framework development.
