Tax Manager (Employment) – £60,000 to £65,000 – On-site – Reading
FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a top 10 accounting and consulting firm to assist with their recruitment of a Tax Manager (Employment) to join their team in Reading, Berkshire.
The successful candidate will work closely with the local tax partners and the national to deliver a range of employment tax work. You will work with a wide range of clients from owner-managed companies and quoted groups to local and national charities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Identifying opportunities to take additional services to clients and contacts, including corporate taxes, VAT, personal taxes and corporate finance support
- Act as an SME on the understanding of the different types of risks faced by the client, including the management of reputational, operational and credit risk in all interactions with clients.
- Identifying areas requiring improvement in client\’s business processes and possible recommendations for clients.
- Taking primary responsibility for financial performance on client and project work.
- Work closely with the local tax partners and the national Workforce Advisory group to deliver a range of employment tax work.
- Work with a wide range of clients from owner-managed companies and quoted groups to local and national charities.
- Compliance and ad hoc advisory work and business development initiatives, working with the team to generate new work.
Required experience:
- ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification.
- Significant employment tax experience on a range of compliance and advisory projects.
- A passion for client service.
- Track record of developing new work – desirable
