A well-established organisation with a strong public-sector footprint is looking to hire a Management Accountant to join its growing FP&A team. This role sits at the heart of financial reporting and insight, with a big emphasis on Power BI dashboards and stakeholder-facing analysis. The Role
You’ll work closely with senior finance stakeholders to deliver accurate, insightful reporting and continuously improve the FP&A reporting suite. Expect a healthy mix of core management accounting, variance analysis, and Power BI-driven insight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis and financial commentary for senior stakeholders
- Building, maintaining and enhancing Power BI dashboards (non-negotiable)
- Supporting internal and external reporting packs and KPI reporting
- Improving processes across reporting, sign-off, and data flows
- Supporting year-end and audit processes
- Ad-hoc analysis and projects across finance and the wider business
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA / CIPFA or equivalent)
- Strong management accounting and FP&A experience
- Hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard creation
- Solid Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Confident communicator with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
Desirable
- Advanced Excel capability
- Experience improving or redesigning BI visualisations
- Exposure to Sage X3 or similar ERP systems
Please note: Power BI dashboard experience is a must for this role.
