FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a market leading professional service provider in Newbury Berkshire, to assist with their recruitment of a Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Financial planning cycle and Financial and management reporting, working closely with shareholders and reporting into the Finance Business Partner. This is a new role in the business due to a period of sustained growth and we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own and as part of a team, holds excellent communication skills and is looking to join a fast-paced and growing business.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the FBP in preparing weekly and monthly reports using in-house systems and Excel
- Reviewing and analysing financial information
- Investigating anomalies and providing explanations on variances that have occurred against budget
- Analysing monthly results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
- Involved in budget process and forecasting cycles
- Assisting members of the finance team throughout the month in ad hoc reporting
- Developing automated solutions to improve transaction processing
Requirements:
- CIMA / ACCA qualified (or working towards)
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Be experienced in using Excel (vlookups as a minimum) and have the ability and willingness to advance your skills in this area
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to challenge and embed key processes
- Be able to problem solve and use analysis techniques
- Demonstrates a continuous improvement mind-set - able to pro-actively identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Curious, positive and enthusiastic
The successful candidate should be studying towards an ACCA or CIMA qualification with a strong FP&A background coupled with being commercially astute. Holding high attention to detail, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills, coupled with strong Excel experience.
