A growing energy consultancy is looking for an experienced Head of Pricing to take ownership of its pricing function and play a pivotal role in shaping commercial success.

The Role

  • Lead the end-to-end pricing process across electricity and gas procurement, ensuring the business delivers accurate, competitive and commercially sound pricing recommendations.
  • Your work will directly support account managers, consultants and trading teams, helping clients make informed decisions across both fixed and flexible energy contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the pricing function across UK electricity and gas procurement
  • Prepare, review and manage customer pricing submissions
  • Analyse supplier offers and produce clear pricing comparisons
  • Develop pricing strategies aligned to market conditions and customer risk appetite
  • Maintain and enhance pricing models, templates and Excel-based tools
  • Review supplier contract structures and non-commodity cost assumptions
  • Support tenders, renewals and bespoke procurement projects
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve pricing queries
  • Identify process improvements across pricing and reporting
  • Provide technical guidance and support junior team members

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in the UK energy industry
  • Strong background in energy procurement pricing
  • Deep understanding of fixed and flexible contract structures
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, lookups, data manipulation, model building)
  • Ability to interpret supplier pricing structures and analyse large datasets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable: experience in an energy consultancy/broker/supplier, knowledge of non-commodity cost components, familiarity with CRM/reporting tools.
