We are working with a well-established global commodities trading and supply chain business based in London to find two qualified accountants for a short-term contract engagement. The business operates across food, beverage, and energy supply chains and is looking for experienced accountants to support a finance transformation project, improving the accuracy of accounts and strengthening processes, controls, and documentation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of sections of the Trial Balance including receivables and inventory
  • Reconciling balances and performing allocations in the accounting system
  • Working with the Product Control team on complex accounts
  • Documenting all adjustments to create a strong audit trail
  • Proposing and documenting month-end process improvements and standard operating procedures
  • Identifying control improvements and efficiency opportunities
  • Reporting progress to senior finance stakeholders on a bi-weekly basis

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CAANZ or equivalent) with audit experience
  • Strong reconciliation and month-end close skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • A self-starter who can use initiative and problem-solve independently
