FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading company to assist with their recruitment of a Finance Manager to join their team based in Victoria, London.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be the technical lead on accounting and controls, be exposed to all aspects of the finance function and will also be involved in various ongoing ERP and BI implementations and updates.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead on the technical accounting areas including acquisition integrations (in due course), corporation tax and goodwill.
  • Ensure new BI tool is producing the reports we need and correct controls are in place.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements including group consolidations.
  • Liaise with external auditors throughout the year-end process.
  • Work with the FD to ensure the accurate and timely month-end, annual and related reporting and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead on initiatives such as legal structure simplification and migration of accounting from acquired entities to the core trading entity.
  • Work with the FD to ensure there are strong financial controls across all business operations.
  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the accounts payable and cash/bank operations, progressively making improvements in processes.
  • Provide effective leadership, motivation, training and development for a team of three accounts payable team members.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in a large accounting practice.
  • Good technical accounting knowledge with a broad experience of best practice accounting processes and controls.
  • Able to succeed in a PE (and acquisition) integration environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead, develop and manage the existing teams.
  • Strong communication and team management skills with the ability to engage with different individual styles at all levels.
  • Positive and forward-thinking attitude with the ability to create and run with plans for continuous improvement and integration.
  • Methodical, systematic, diligent and highly organised.
  • Proactive, with an ability to identify problems and devise solutions - make things happen.
  • Good IT skills (accounting systems, Excel).
  • Working knowledge of VAT and Corporation Tax.
  • Other ad hoc requests as required.
