Finance Systems & Data Migration Accountant – Wantage Oxfordshire (Hybrid 1- 2 days in the office) – 4- 6 month contract - £400 - £500 per day (Outside IR35)An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Systems & Data Migration Accountant to join a growing PE backed organisation undertaking a significant finance transformation and acquisition programme.
This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC365) who enjoys improving finance systems, leading ERP migrations, and ensuring high-quality financial data.
You'll play a pivotal role in modernising finance processes, delivering successful system improvements and supporting key business stakeholders throughout the migration journey.
Key Responsibilities Lead finance workstreams across ERP implementation, upgrade and migration projects.
Drive improvements within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring the system is configured in line with best practice.
Plan and manage the migration of financial data into BC365.
Map legacy finance data into the new system, ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
Cleanse, validate, reconcile and test migrated financial data.
Support finance process improvements and automation initiatives.
Develop robust financial reporting capabilities and strengthen financial controls.
Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement effective solutions.
Identify and resolve finance systems issues, recommending continuous improvements.
About You You will be an experienced finance professional with a strong systems background and a successful track record delivering finance transformation projects.
Essential Skills & Experience Advanced user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC365).
Proven experience leading ERP implementation or finance migration projects.
Strong understanding of finance processes and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with strong reconciliation experience.
Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
Experience improving finance processes through automation.
Previous experience delivering ERP migration projects within a fast-paced commercial environment.
