FryerMiles is working with a leading SME company to hire a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hands-on Accountant to help optimise financial processes and ensure accurate transactional flows within the organisation. This is a fast growing company going from strength to strength.
The duties of the Finance Manager include:
- Management Account preparation and support to the management accountant as required.
- Ensuring that any unallocated items are investigated proficiently and quickly.
- Enter purchase ledger invoices onto Sage & Eque2.
- Reconcile Supplier statements.
- Complete a weekly payment run.
- Carry out CIS returns.
- Reconciling bank statements.
- Answering supplier queries in a timely manner.
- Processing of Sub-Contractor payment applications and accounting for Retention.
- Experience using Eque2 and Sage 50 desirable but not essential.
- Posting of Journals.
The successful Finance Manager will:
- Have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with suppliers.
- Exhibit confident and effective telephone skills when taking calls as required.
- Demonstrate confident use of Microsoft Excel including using VLOOKUP's and other formulas.
- Have the ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
- Have experience working within Accounts in the Construction Industry/New homes building industry.
- Possess knowledge of the construction industry, CIS scheme and VAT reversal scheme.
