About the role
To manage the Corporate Accounting team ensuring all aspects of reporting and processing are operating effectively. To act as a point of contact for other teams within the organisation, including reporting to the CFO.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Management of team of 10 with 6 direct reports, indirect oversight of the global finance team
- Involvement with the ongoing IPO process and responsibility for ensuring processes and controls are put in place that are appropriate for a listed entity
- Overall responsibility for the following reporting:
- Monthly management accounts
- Quarterly Board reporting
- Interim reporting
- Annual financial statements preparation
- Regular interaction with the IT development team to guide improvements in internal treasury and financial systems
- Designing reports to aid day to day workflow
- Alignment of controls and processes for overseas entities
- Onboarding new third party providers where necessary
About you
We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:
Essential:
- ACA trained from practice with 10 years plus PQE.
- Experience working in a listed company environment
- Experience of group accounting and IFRS
- Proven experience of managing a team.
- Ability to form relationships within finance team, IT teams and wider office to ensure positive collaborative working environment.
- Ability to manage numerous requirements and prioritising critical, along with keeping relevant stakeholders well informed on tasks.
- Strong general computer/IT and system skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Good PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate relationships with key internal and external business partners.
Other Relevant Points:
- SUN Systems accounting software and Infor Q&A / Vision.
- Previous exposure to multi-currency entities.
