A well-known and fast-growing digital bank is looking to appoint a senior employment lawyer to support the business on all contentious and non-contentious employment matters, reporting directly to the Group Head of Employment Legal. This is a high-visibility role with significant influence across the group, including line management of an employment lawyer within the team.

What's involved:

  • Advising the People team and wider business on all aspects of employment law, including SMCR and FCA Code of Conduct issues
  • Managing legal support across the full employee lifecycle β€” hiring, executive service agreements, dismissals, grievances, disciplinaries and settlement agreements
  • Supporting the corporate and commercial legal functions on TUPE matters
  • Advising on regulatory issues associated with financial services and banking
  • Managing international employment projects across EMEA and globally, working with external counsel
  • Advising the Reward team on compensation arrangements, including malus, clawback and deferred compensation
  • Delivering employment law training across the business

About you:

  • Excellent legal training with 6–10 years' PQE gained at a law firm and/or in-house
  • Very strong technical employment law experience
  • Experience within financial services
  • Experience handling regulatory issues in the context of SMCR, conduct, remuneration matters and regulatory inquiries
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
