Our client is a major European investment bank with a very well regarded distressed products desk. A vacancy has arisen for a commercially minded restructuring lawyer to work directly with that desk as an integral part of the investment process.

Joining a small team of lawyers sitting on the trading floor you will take on a broad workload including assisting with complex trade closings, credit reviews and portfolio management. This will suit a bright and highly motivated lawyer with circa two to six years’ PQE and the credibility to take on considerable responsibility from day one.

Having learnt your trade in a major law firm, you will have a strong restructuring background and be keen to continue to learn and diversify your experience. Some prior experience in-house, probably at a fund, would be preferred but this could be via a secondment.

Most important however is your aptitude; the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, good judgement and the personality to develop productive working relationships across the bank.

This is a rare opportunity for a lawyer to move straight onto the trading floor within a market leading team.
