This is a strong opportunity for a structured finance or securitisation lawyer to join a leading financial services organisation in a broad, high-quality in-house role supporting treasury, capital optimisation and funding activity. This position sits within a specialist legal team advising senior stakeholders across finance and treasury functions on complex structured finance transactions and related regulatory matters.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of asset classes and structures, with genuine involvement in transaction structuring from inception through execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on the structuring, negotiation and execution of structured finance transactions, including securitisations, asset sales, risk transfer transactions and insurance-linked structures.
- Supporting capital optimisation initiatives and drafting and negotiating transaction documentation.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting structured finance and managing external counsel.
- Developing and maintaining internal legal templates, policies and procedures.
You should be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 4 years experience in structured finance/securitisation, with any derivatives experience being a bonus. You will be confident working in a fast-paced, transactional environment. This would suit someone looking for their first move in-house or looking for a step up within financial services.
