A senior in-house opportunity for an employment litigation solicitor with strong restrictive covenant and team move experience to join a leading financial services business. This role sits within a small, high-calibre legal team supporting a fast-growing division of the business. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, taking ownership of complex employee competition matters and providing strategic, commercial advice.

Key responsibilities

  • Advising on the enforceability and scope of restrictive covenants
  • Managing team move disputes and related High Court litigation
  • Drafting cease and desist letters and pre-action correspondence
  • Negotiating settlement and release agreements
  • Partnering closely with HR on risk mitigation and process improvement
  • Delivering training to HR and business teams
  • Managing external counsel and reporting to senior leadership

About you

  • UK-qualified employment litigation solicitor
  • Strong experience in restrictive covenants and employee competition disputes
  • High Court litigation and/or complex pre-action experience
  • Background in private practice or in-house (financial services or regulated environment)
  • Commercial, pragmatic approach with strong stakeholder skills
  • London-based preferred, with flexibility for strong candidates elsewhere in the UK.
