A global financial services firm is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its expanding digital assets offering. This position sits within a well-established legal team and offers exposure to a broad range of work across trading, product development, and regulatory matters in a rapidly evolving sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and trading agreements, including those with exchanges, custodians, and liquidity providers. The role will involve supporting documentation across digital asset products, including client-facing materials and industry-standard trading agreements such as ISDA, GMRA, and GMSLA. You will also provide legal input into the development and launch of new products and services, as well as advising on marketing materials in line with financial promotions regulations.

In addition, the role will require monitoring and interpreting UK and international regulatory developments within the digital assets space, supporting licensing applications, and conducting cross-border legal assessments. You will contribute to a variety of legal and regulatory projects, assist with policy updates and document management, and provide broader support across legal and compliance matters, including risk and governance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with circa 2-5 years’ PQE, and strong FS regulatory experience. A significant interest in crypto and/or wider digital assets will enable you to thrive in this role. Familiarity with derivatives or structured products would be advantageous, though not essential.

You will demonstrate strong drafting and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A high level of attention to detail, organisation, and professionalism is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a collaborative approach, resilience, and a proactive mindset.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-looking organisation operating at the intersection of traditional financial markets and digital innovation, offering exposure to cutting-edge developments within the digital assets space.
