We're supporting a large financial services organisation that is undertaking a number of complex system implementation and business transformation initiatives.

They are looking for an experienced

Senior Business Analyst to take a lead role across business analysis activities, working closely with senior stakeholders, technology teams and delivery functions to define requirements, improve processes and support strategic change.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial services or consulting experience who enjoys working on complex transformation programmes and operating at a senior stakeholder level.

You’ll have the opportunity to operate at a senior level, influence key stakeholders and play a significant role in shaping how new systems and processes are designed and delivered.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the analysis, documentation and validation of complex business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business and functional specifications.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to define strategic objectives and ensure solutions align with wider business goals.
  • Design and document end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
  • Act as the key link between business and technology teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
  • Lead and support testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Provide expert business analysis input across wider transformation initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements, explore problems and build consensus.
  • Support change management activities to help ensure successful adoption of new processes and technology.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior Business Analysts and contribute to best practice across the function.
  • What We’re Looking For

5+ years' experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally within financial services or a consulting environment.

  • Strong experience across requirements gathering, business process modelling and business/functional documentation.
  • Experience using data analysis tools , such as SQL or BI platforms, and the ability to interpret data to inform business decisions.
  • Proven ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders , driving alignment and consensus across different teams.
  • Experience leading business analysis activities across large-scale system implementation or transformation projects .
  • Strong understanding of

Agile and waterfall and experience working within cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Good knowledge of financial services regulations, controls and industry standards .
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex information easy to understand.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience managing BA workstreams within financial services transformation programmes.
  • Understanding of

APIs, system integrations and digital transformation .

  • Knowledge of

UX/UI principles and their impact on customer and system usability.

  • Agile or Business Analysis qualifications such as

Scrum Master, Product Owner, CBAP, BCS or PMI-PBA .

  • Exposure to

Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement frameworks .
