Job Description
Junior Backend Engineer
Leeds – 2x a week
Salary – up to £35,000
Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a Junior Backend Software Engineer to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.
The Junior Backend Software Engineer will be part of the team responsible for building a bespoke SaaS product, and creating a low latent high performing connected platform. You will be working with Terraform as the infrastructure as code, and working with Node.js as the Back End framework, spun up into an AWS platform.
What will I be doing?
- Developing web applications and systems using JavaScript, Node and Typescript.
- Define and analyse business requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and integrations to enhance deployment.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and tested to develop unit code.
- Working in an AWS environment.
Key requirements:
- JavaScript development, for at least 1 year.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Typescript and Node.
- Experience with React (desirable).
- Understanding of Terraform as infrastructure as code.
- Working with REST and GraphQL.
- Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and to your own initiative.
