Software Engineer III - Backend

Senior Software Engineer – Backend Leeds – 2x a week Salary: Up to £70k D.O.E + Benefits Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a Backend Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture and technical direction of new projects alongside being deeply hands on. You will be responsible for working on Back End services, focusing on platform engineering and building CI/CD pipelines. You will be developing in Node.js and Typescript, and will have a strong focus on AWS Services, such as EKS, Dynamo DB and S3. What will I be doing? Own and evolve the Back End architecture for a large-scale software platform. Working across multiple teams to ensure alignment and scalability throughout the business. Set technical direction and contribute to key design decisions across teams. Lead by example, writing high-quality, maintainable code in Node.js and TypeScript. Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, improving automation, observability, and release processes. Collaborate cross-functionally with product and platform teams to deliver robust services.
