We are looking for a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Consultant to join a Leeds-based tech consultancy delivering modern, scalable applications for a variety of clients. You will be a key contributor on projects, taking ownership of complex features, influencing technical decisions, and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role is ideal for a strong hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems, writing excellent code, and contributing to technical direction without full delivery ownership.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full stack JavaScript applications
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready code across front and back end
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and propose solutions
- Contribute to architectural and design discussions
- Promote best practices around testing, performance, and maintainability
- Work within agile, cross-functional delivery teams
- Mentor junior engineers informally through code reviews and pairing
Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Front end experience with React (or similar frameworks)
- Back end experience with Node.js (Express, NestJS, etc.)
- Must have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Solid understanding of modern engineering practices
- Experience working in agile or consultancy environments
Desirable Skills
- Microservices or serverless architectures
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
- Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders
