About us

Our client is a Insurtech Unicorn looking to expand their engineering team. With the opportunity to work on existing products which have generated millions in revenue to something new changing the landscape of the insurance world, this is the perfect opportunity for a results driven and growth focussed Senior engineer looking to start an ambitious business.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to help shape the future of our B2C products. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a cross-functional, agile, and diverse team that's focused on delivering intuitive, high-impact digital experiences to our customers.

Our B2C team is evolving rapidly- we're moving from a monolithic codebase to a modern microservices architecture, using a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) approach. You'll be working with technologies like React, Next.js and TypeScript, building highly scalable and performant user interfaces

What you will be doing

  • Deliver a seamless, customer-first onboarding journey that supports a wide range of drivers and policy types.
  • Lead the development of new products and features with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Continuously improve and evolve our existing digital products to deliver market-leading insurance experiences.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, helping to raise the bar for the entire team.
  • Drive code quality through thoughtful code reviews, pair programming, and a strong QA mindset.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to bring ideas to life-fast.
  • Contribute to a high-performing engineering culture with CI/CD practices that allow us to deploy to production up to 20 times a day.

About you

  • You have a strong passion for Front End development and user experience.
  • You have commercial experience working with NextJS using protocols such as GraphQL and gRPC in a production environment.
  • You're familiar with accessibility standards and understand how to build inclusive user interfaces.
  • You've seen projects through the entire development life cycle, from ideation to production.
  • You write clean, tested, and maintainable code and you care about getting it right.
  • You will be someone who's actively curious about how AI can enhance your work – keen to experiment, learn quickly, and apply tools that improve productivity, streamline tasks, or unlock new ways of thinking.

Our approach to AI

We believe in the power of AI to meaningfully improve how we work – helping us move faster, think differently, and focus on what matters most. We encourage people to stay curious and intentional about how AI is leveraged in their work and teams to drive practical impact every day. This is your chance to do the most meaningful work of your career and we'll provide you with the tools, support, and freedom to do it well

Benefits:

– Private Medical Insurance, Company Share Options, generous holiday allowance, flexible hybrid working allowance and more.

We're an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status.
