We're working with a leading financial technology organisation that is developing next-generation technology solutions for the financial markets.

They're looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to sit at the intersection of technology, product and client delivery, helping design and implement solutions across complex financial services environments.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the technical detail, while also being able to step back and understand the wider business problem.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, business analysis and client teams to turn complex requirements into scalable, practical technical solutions.

The organisation works across areas including capital markets, post-trade, securities services and distributed ledger technology, giving you the opportunity to work on genuinely interesting transformation programmes rather than simply maintaining legacy platforms.

What you'll be doing
Own and contribute to the architecture and technical design of solutions across product and client environments.

Translate complex business and functional requirements into clear technical architectures and solution designs.

Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineering teams and clients to understand requirements and constraints.

Produce architecture documentation, solution designs, technical specifications and system diagrams.

Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for modernisation, integration and optimisation.

Design integrations between internal platforms, third-party systems and client environments.

Consider APIs, microservices, data flows, security, infrastructure and system interoperability.

Support engineering teams throughout implementation, acting as a technical point of reference.

Work with clients and stakeholders to explain technical concepts clearly and build confidence in proposed solutions.

Contribute to technical discovery, proof-of-concept and solution evaluation activities.

Identify technical risks, dependencies and trade‑offs and communicate these effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Help ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and aligned with wider architectural principles.

Stay close to emerging technologies within financial markets, DLT, digital assets and post-trade infrastructure.

What we're looking for
We're looking for a Solutions Architect who combines strong technical architecture capability with financial services understanding.

You'll ideally have:
Experience working as a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, Application Architect or similar.

Experience translating business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.

Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, distributed systems and modern software architectures.

Experience working closely with engineering teams and understanding modern development practices.

The ability to produce and communicate architecture diagrams and technical documentation.

Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work directly with clients.

Experience working within financial services, banking, capital markets or fintech.

An understanding of trade lifecycle, post-trade, settlement, securities services or financial market infrastructure would be highly beneficial.

You'll be involved in real transformation programmes, working with financial institutions and technology teams to solve complex problems across the financial markets ecosystem.

The organisation sits in an interesting space between financial services, product engineering and emerging technology, giving you exposure to areas such as DLT, post-trade transformation and next-generation market infrastructure.
