Our client, a leading professional institution, is undertaking a large scale payment processing platform migration. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead this business critical transformation on a part time basis (3 days per week).
This is a high profile, strategic project involving the migration of payment processing infrastructure across multiple geographies and products, requiring expert governance and coordination across complex technical and operational workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:- Take full accountability for the delivery and upkeep of the end-to-end migration roadmap
- Drive programme governance, including dependency coordination across workstreams, integrated planning, and proactive risk and issue management
- Oversee delivery across all migration streams, including Product, QA & Testing, Data Migration and Cutover, Architecture & Solution Design, Fraud, Cyber Security, Risk & Operations, and Training and Change initiatives
- Serve as the central point of contact between internal stakeholders and third-party processing partners
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape project scope, define delivery milestones, and agree measurable success outcomes
- Lead executive-level reporting and governance forums, providing clear status updates to senior stakeholders and steering groups
- Coordinate and direct cutover execution and post-migration hypercare/stabilisation phases
- Own project-level change management processes, including dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and issue resolution
- Strong background in financial services
- Previous experience in processing migration
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex migration projects in regulated environments
- Deep understanding of project governance frameworks and methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at senior executive level
- Strong experience managing third-party supplier relationships
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams with complex dependencies
- Part-time: 3 days per week
- Initially higher on-site presence required during project ramp-up (London City location)
- Flexibility to work more remotely as project matures
- Long-term engagement
