This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading tech for good business as an IT Application Analyst, supporting a modern, Azure-focused application estate and helping build a secure, scalable, and cloud-first IT ecosystem. You will work closely with senior IT colleagues, influence system design, and play a key role in optimising, automating, and enhancing business-critical applications across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assess and document the current application stack, with a focus on transitioning from Legacy/on-prem systems to Azure-based solutions.
- Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and enhancement across applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the wider Microsoft Power Platform.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Scripting and coding (e.g. PowerShell, C#), improving efficiency and reducing manual processes.
- Configure and support applications to maximise business value, ensuring strong data interoperability across both Microsoft and bespoke systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with third-party vendors to deliver solutions.
- Support the establishment of regression testing frameworks and structured release cycles across applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT Governance to define data and system design principles, supporting the organisation's cloud and architecture maturity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an outward-facing application support or analyst role, ideally within cloud-first environments.
- Strong experience working with Azure-based applications and services (not purely on-premise systems).
- Hands-on experience with Scripting and automation (PowerShell, C#, or similar), with the ability to modify and enhance application code.
- Experience supporting ERP solutions, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.) and integration with wider application ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working across a mix of Microsoft and bespoke applications.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and building consistent, well-documented testing environments.
