Delivery Lead – AI & Client Discovery (Lead Consultant) London - Hybrid £90 - £115k The Delivery Lead is a fully customer-facing role which comes with ownership of client engagements - and, in the new world, ownership of the discovery that shapes them. As Enablis shifts its mix from today's largely traditional delivery to an even split with AI-native work over the next year, the Delivery Lead works across both: leading conventional delivery engagements to the standard clients already trust us for, and leading the new value-led arcs - an assessment measured in days or weeks, a POC build of around six weeks, an MVP with a mandate - that end on evidence, not a calendar. In new-world engagements this role absorbs what a discovery-led product person would do elsewhere: interrogating problems, asking why, and shaping what should be built before anything is committed. The Delivery Lead owns the question every engagement must answer - “so what?” - and makes sure no build starts without a clear view of who will use it, what it is worth, and what happens at scale. They shape work rather than take orders, pushing back where needed. On larger engagements they pair with a Commercial Business Analyst who owns the value model in depth. A crucial part of the remit remains managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a wide variety of customer and third-party roles and levels of seniority - empathetic and relatable to the inexperienced, whilst capable of operating opposite the most senior people in complex commercial environments. The Delivery Lead also acts as a bridge back to our central teams: contributing to governance, sharing reusable assets and proof points with BD, and feeding our communities of practice. Key Skills Discovery and value (new world) Running discovery workshops and structured interviews that produce a one-page problem statement, a named sponsor and a shortlisted use case Workflow immersion and knowledge capture: sitting with the people who do the work, mapping who does the task today, which systems it touches, whether the data is good enough, where a person must stay in control, and what the work costs now Rapidly screening and prioritising candidate workflows on value and ease - building the ranked backlog that feeds a client roadmap Building a defensible value case before and during the build - value the client's CFO can sign off, not cycle-time anecdotes - and turning the assessment into the scope, protecting fixed-price commercials from drift Testing agent-user fit: can the AI do the work, will users trust it enough to delegate, and does it pay Evidence-led delivery (new world) Prototype-led ways of working: always showing something tangible - discovery without prototypes doesn't fly anymore Running evidence-based gates: go / adjust / stop - and treating an honest “stop” as a good outcome Planning beyond the POC: the route to production, who would own and run the solution, and the mini operating model that lets it scale Measuring value, not activity - including adoption measured against a baseline AI fluency Uses AI daily and can demo a working prototype with confidence Understands what makes AI delivery different: probabilistic outputs, evaluation and guardrails, and the trust users must build before they delegate to a system Delivery ways of working (both worlds) Strong working knowledge and the ability to embody agile principles, with experience of mainstream methods (Scrum, Kanban, Lean/Startup) and standard ceremonies Able to fit into, or work alongside, traditional project and programme management structures - many client engagements still run this way, and will for some time A clear and concise approach to documentation People and stakeholders (both worlds) First-class people skills and emotional intelligence; the ability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, from front-line teams to C-suite Commercial and political awareness, and an instinct for both risk and opportunity - spotting and scoping the next opportunity from a problem lens is part of delivery quality Willing to embrace complexity and uncertainty; the energy to motivate and inspire a team during difficult periods A creative streak which adds an element of joy for our people and customers
