A contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to take ownership of complex software delivery across a modern digital ecosystem. The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for driving the technical roadmap, working closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-defined technical solutions. This role requires a more technical, hands-on approach to delivery oversight, with the ability to engage directly with development teams, understand technical constraints, and ensure solutions are production-ready and operationally sound.
The Technical Delivery Manager will be expected to maintain a strong view of live production systems as well as in-flight delivery, ensuring integrations are reliable, observable, and continuously improving. The role suits someone who is comfortable operating closer to engineering teams than typical product functions, with a strong understanding of modern system design.
Key Requirements:- Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Delivery Manager or similar role within complex technical environments
- Strong understanding of APIs and cloud-based platforms (i.e. Azure)
- Experience working closely with engineering teams in a delivery-focused, technical capacity
- Comfortable translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories
- Experience managing backlogs, delivery priorities and cross-team dependencies
- Strong understanding of production systems, monitoring and operational readiness
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical direction
- Ability to operate across multiple teams, vendors and internal engineering squads
- Additional experience within large-scale enterprise environments
