We are seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain new features on an innovative platform using a containerised microservices architecture. The successful candidate will also be responsible for extending DevOps practices to ensure a scalable, high-availability production web application. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a growing engineering team and solve complex software challenges using the latest technologies.
Java Software Engineer Requirements:
- Must have:
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot-based applications.
- Experience with containerised applications in Kubernetes and serverless AWS technologies.
- Strong understanding of DevOps culture, practices, and tools.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Experience working within agile methodologies.
- Experience with React and frontend development.
- Mentoring experience, providing technical support to team members.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
- Strong database and query performance skills.
