About the Role
Fruition are seeking an exceptional Head of QA to lead and transform a quality assurance function. This is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference - providing visionary leadership, driving continuous improvement and taking ownership of testing strategy across our entire software development life cycle. You’ll be instrumental in fostering a culture where quality isn’t just a checkpoint, it’s a shared responsibility. Working with a diverse team spanning on-shore and off-shore locations, you’ll champion best practices, implement cutting‑edge frameworks and establish the robust processes that will underpin our technical excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the Vision
- Provide strategic direction for QA operations, aligning quality initiatives with wider business objectives.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
- Champion adoption of test automation, CI/CD and Agile testing methodologies.
- Driving Technical Excellence
- Lead the engineering of a comprehensive test automation framework to support continuous integration and delivery.
- Oversee creation and execution of volumetric and performance test frameworks ensuring system scalability and reliability.
- Innovate with emerging technologies to enhance test coverage, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Transforming Processes
- Implement and refine QA processes to optimise testing practices and minimise defects.
- Embrace ‘Fail Fast’ principles, encouraging rapid identification and resolution of issues.
- Improve stability and scalability of client release processes, building confidence in deployments.
- Establish meaningful QA metrics that are clear, actionable and visible across the business.
- Tooling & Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain QA tooling, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with organisational needs.
- Identify tooling gaps and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure test environments and data meet both current and long‑term future requirements.
- Collaborating Across Teams
- Work seamlessly with Product, Delivery and Engineering teams to ensure impactful software deliveries.
- Own documentation and process through tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Develop a culture of product quality and shared ownership.
- Growing Your Team
- Lead team management including recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
- Set clear goals and provide coaching to optimise individual and team performance.
- Cultivate high engagement, innovation and collaboration.
