Fruition Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Data to lead our clients central data team, as they continue their journey towards becoming a fully data-driven organisation and embed a data-first culture across the business.
Head of Data – Why Apply?
This is a rare opportunity for a Head of Data to lead a rapidly growing function that has huge support and faith within the business and wider group.
As a Senior manager you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary data analytics & engineering team aligned to their key value streams.
The biggest challenge in this role is to improve delivery of high quality and well modelled, clean and trustworthy data assets, improve data maturity across the business, embed a data 1st strategy and create a data engineering centre of excellence to support future business growth.
Head of Data – What will I be doing?
- Managing the data engineering team
- Supporting the ongoing learning and development of your team members
- Strategic leadership of the overall data strategy
- Embedding a data 1st culture across the team and the business
- You will demonstrate a passion for data and encourage a similar passion across your team.
- Supporting the growth of the data engineering function to create a centre of excellence capability
- Ensure key delivery metrics are closely monitored to allow you to best provide support where needed, communicate effectively on progress, and identify opportunities to improve and optimise our data delivery processes.
Head of Data – What do I need?
- Strong leadership with experience managing data engineering squads
- Demonstrate a passion for data engineering and continual improvement
- Be comfortable communicating and building relationships with stakeholder at all levels up to and including c-level
- You should have experience working in an Agile delivery environment, ideally using Scrum and\\or Kanban.
- Working knowledge of Python, Tableau, SQL, any cloud platform, and ETL process
