Job Title: JavaScript / React Developer (Contract)
Location: Hybrid/Remote (occasional visits to Manchester or Leeds)

Length: 6 months (initial)

A tech leading consultancy is seeking an experienced JavaScript / React Developer to help deliver a high-impact UI/UX-led platform, targeted for deployment with a major client. This is a fast-paced contract within a small, focused product squad, with immediate delivery expectations and a strong emphasis on design-led development.

JavaScript / React Developer Responsibilities:

• Lead on the development of high-quality, responsive front-end features
• Translate product and UX designs into performant, maintainable code
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and full-stack engineers
• Ensure accessibility, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Contribute to component libraries and reusable design systems

JavaScript / React Developer Requirements:

• Proven expertise in modern front-end development using React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Experience using Chakra UI and react-hook-form in production environments
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
• Exposure to AWS Cloud services
• Strong eye for design, layout, and usability – ideally with design or creative background
• Comfortable working in small agile teams under tight deadlines
• Strong portfolio of front-end builds with a focus on UX/UI excellence

Initial interviews will be scheduled Friday 6th June. This is a full-time contract with remote working available.
