A leading client is seeking an experienced SQL Developer on a 6-month contract to support key data migration and reporting projects. The role is ideal for someone with strong SQL and data warehouse experience, who enjoys delivering data solutions for a dynamic data warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Extracting, transforming, and loading data from SAP-based systems and other business sources.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborating closely with the tech lead, BI developers, and master data team to create, document, and present data sources.
- Supporting data migration projects, lifting and separating datasets across divisions while ensuring data integrity.
- Optimising and troubleshooting existing SQL processes and data structures across multiple business units.
- Working with Tableau and other reporting tools to provide meaningful business insights.
- Ensuring consistent and accurate reporting of daily sales figures and operational data.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of processes, data quality, and system performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, and complex query development.
- Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, including Star Schema/Kimball methodologies.
- Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and data integration across multiple systems.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools.
- Exposure to SAP or ERP data structures advantageous.
- Ability to quickly understand complex data structures and business logic.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
