Your Mission
As Country Manager (all genders) for the UK & Ireland, you take full commercial and operational responsibility for our business activities in both markets. You are the strategic face of Fruchthansa in the region, building and maintaining strong relationships with our key retail customers while ensuring flawless execution across the entire supply chain. With your entrepreneurial mindset and leadership capabilities, you drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction â positioning us as the preferred partner for fresh produce in UK & Ireland.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and grow our commercial presence in the UK & Ireland, developing strong, longâterm partnerships with key retail customers.
- Take ownership of revenues, margins, and market development, ensuring that commercial decisions align with both customer needs and company strategy.
- Oversee local operations at a strategic level, ensuring that logistics partners, service providers, and internal teams deliver smoothly and reliably.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, negotiations, and seniorâlevel discussions with customers and stakeholders.
- Work closely with our German head office on procurement planning, product availability, quality standards, and pricing strategy.
- Identify market trends and competitive developments, translating them into actionable initiatives for growth and operational improvement.
- Represent Fruchthansa at customer meetings, industry events, and trade forums to strengthen our presence in the region.
- Prepare performance reviews, forecasts, and business updates for senior leadership.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in commercial leadership, key account management, or business development within fresh produce, FMCG, food retail, or supply chain.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with P&L responsibility and seniorâlevel negotiation.
- Solid understanding of supply chain flows and the specific demands of perishable goods.
- Confident leadership style with the ability to engage teams, coordinate stakeholders, and drive performance across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build trust at all levels â from operational teams to Câsuite.
- Strategic thinker with a handsâon, pragmatic approach when required.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership while maintaining strong alignment with the wider organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or supplyâchain systems.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK & Ireland and occasionally to Germany.
- Excellent command of English; Spanish is a plus.
