FRS are recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant for an exciting & ambitious business to be based on the outskirts of Dublin!
The role will suit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant who's ideally got experience within the hospitality sector - other backgrounds will be considered but this would be highly advantageous!
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions to the general ledger.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintaining proper documentation and supporting records.
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyse financial performance and provide explanations for variances between actual and budgeted or forecasted results.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and both local and international accounting standards (e.g., Prepare tax returns (VAT, RTD, PAYE, etc.) and support external audits with documentation and responses.
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and stay updated on relevant accounting regulations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making by senior management.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in general ledger accounting or a similar accounting role
Familiarity with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
