FRP Advisory is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Insolvency Cashier to join our restructuring cashiering team in Brentwood. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, ensuring the smooth operation of estate accounts. This role involves daily banking, processing payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliations, and handling various ad hoc duties. The Trainee Insolvency Cashier will report to the Case Accountant Manager and work closely with other team members to maintain accurate financial records and support the department’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily banking tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
- Handle the daily processing of payments and receipts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
- Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are addressed promptly
- Process account openings, closings, and Non-Interest-Bearing requests as required
- Maintain regular payments records to ensure all transactions are tracked and documented
- Monitor the group email inbox
- Perform other administrative tasks to support the team
Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience preferable
- GCSE English and Mathematics ‘C’ grade or above
- Organised and methodical
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong planning and prioritising skills
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
