Role overview

The People Operations Coordinator at FRP supports the People Operations team by managing HR processes and ensuring policy compliance. This role involves onboarding, processing job changes, maintaining employee files, and administering payroll and benefits. The People Operations Coordinator also collaborates with the People team and external providers, responds to employee queries, and advises on best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full onboarding process, including raising employment offers and addressing inconsistencies
  • Process job changes, including drafting and issuing letters, chasing documents, tracking progress, and data inputting
  • Maintain data in core HR and benefits systems, ensuring GDPR compliance and accurate records
  • Administer the full leavers process and absence management, ensuring accurate payroll processing
  • Manage flexible benefits, process new applications, coordinate benefit renewals, and oversee UK payroll
  • Conduct audits of employee, payroll, and benefits data, and perform reporting & mail merges when necessary
  • Assist in company inductions for new joiners
  • Advise and promote best practices on company processes, procedures, policies and respond to day-to-day queries from employees
  • Regularly review and suggest process improvements
  • Deputise team members and support the wider People team as needed

Qualifications

  • Education to A-level/Degree level or relevant work experience
  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not necessary
  • Good understanding of HR functions and administrative background
  • Comfortable with HR systems and proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in benefits and payroll management
  • Excellent writing skills for letters, emails, and correspondences
  • Ability to remain calm and measured during busy periods and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
