FRP Corporate Finance is looking to hire a Manager for its Debt Advisory team in London.
The Opportunity
FRP Corporate Finance is a team of ~100 professionals, including 21 partners, operating across the UK. In any given year, the FRP Corporate Finance team closes c.85 transactions, roughly half of which are for private equity-backed businesses. Our services are tailored to empower businesses with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, debt advisory, valuations and financial restructuring. Our team brings a wealth of experience, ensuring that our clients make informed decisions that drive growth, enhance value, and navigate the complexities of the corporate finance landscape.
The Debt Advisory team is an integral part of FRP’s Corporate Finance practice, providing independent expert advice and supporting both PE-backed and corporate clients to access a range of financing solutions across a wide variety of sectors. We are an award-winning team with >200 years of combined experience supported by our wider M&A origination capability and leading market research team. The team possesses long-established, direct relationships with all major international banks, challengers, and non-bank lenders; with many of the team possessing first-hand experience in navigating the end-to-end debt process as ex-bankers themselves.
The team has demonstrated impressive growth in recent years having delivered ~27 transactions in 2024 alone, raising ~£1.81n of debt facilities. The team is seeking to further expand and is interested in speaking to talented individuals with an accounting or leveraged finance background and an interest in learning about debt structuring to support transactions.
The Role
We are actively seeking a results-driven Debt Advisory Manager to join our dynamic team. As an important contributor to the team’s overall success, you will play a role in assisting clients with debt-related challenges, optimising their capital structure, and providing strategic guidance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day management of transaction processes, including the preparation of information packs, management presentations, financial analysis and client communications.
- Conducting thorough financial analyses to assess debt capacity, evaluate financing options, and provide recommendations.
- Preparing and presenting financial models, including business forecast analysis, evaluating scenario analysis and covenant calculations.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. Lead Advisory, Research, Valuations, Financial Modelling) to ensure seamless execution of debt-related transactions.
- Staying informed about market trends, interest rates, and financial regulations impacting debt markets.
- Negotiating commercial terms related to debt structuring within a term sheet and legal documentation.
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven experience (preferably 3 years) in debt advisory, leverage finance, corporate finance, or related roles.
- Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in analysing complex financial data.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to convey complex financial concepts to clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and financial institutions.
- General awareness of debt markets, financing options, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Collaborative team player, capable of integrating into the team to achieve collective goals and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
