We are seeking a bright and talented qualified accountant, with 3 to 5 years post‐qualified experience, to join our Financial Reporting team as a Manager. The role is aimed at individuals who have progressed to Manager level within the firm in which they completed their training, or individuals making their second career move post‐qualification. The individual should have a keen interest in financial reporting for listed or investor‐backed businesses and will ideally have experience of working on IPOs or other corporate transactions. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of taking full ownership of their set of deliverables in their current role, as well as the ability to lead a team, and proactively drive progress across workstreams in a fast‐paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and FRS 101/102
  • IFRS conversions
  • Preparation of FPPP memos and implementation of related controls
  • Preparation and review of group management reporting
  • Accounting for transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and reverse takeovers
  • Performing valuations such as purchase price allocations, share options, and derivatives
  • Drafting technical accounting memos on areas such as convertible loan notes, impairments, leases, and revenue recognition
  • Preparing integrated Excel‐based forecast models covering P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and managing day‐to‐day communications
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members
  • Liaising with clients' auditors and other advisors to ensure project milestones are met
  • Developing your own network with a view to increasing your business development capabilities over the medium term

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with a minimum of 3 years post‐qualified experience
  • Able to demonstrate extensive experience in preparing complex financial statements under IFRS and/or UK GAAP, covering all financial statement line items
  • Proven track record of researching complex technical accounting topics and applying to client's specific circumstances
  • Strong Excel/financial modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data in a methodical manner
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Evidence of leadership, coaching juniors and team management
  • A proactive team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Comfortable working on more than one project concurrently
  • Flexible attitude when dealing with tight deadlines and critical points of a project
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
