Role overview
FRP Advisory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director/Director of Corporate Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special situations mergers and acquisitions (SSM&A), with extensive experience in a professional services environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing complex transactions and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Lead and manage SSM&A transactions from inception to completion on both the buy-side and sell-side. Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation. Develop and present strategic recommendations to clients. Negotiate terms and structure deals to maximize value for clients. Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges for clients facing financial difficulties. Assess and analyse distressed companies to identify potential opportunities. Coordinate with legal and financial advisors to manage insolvency proceedings.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives. Provide high-quality, tailored advice and support throughout the transaction process. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm’s client base.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support on complex transactions and client engagements. Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Strategic and Operational Focus: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the corporate finance practice. Ensure the delivery of high-quality services in line with the firm’s standards and client expectations. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, with a focus on SSM&A.
- Proven track record of managing complex transactions and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
