A great opportunity to have a legal career which focuses on high-quality, high-profile matters.

If you’re a junior lawyer who enjoys the technical side of law but wants something a little different from the traditional transactional path, this role could be exactly what you’re looking for.

We’re looking for a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join our Corporate Tax team—a collaborative group of solicitors, chartered accountants and chartered tax advisers who work together to deliver clear, pragmatic advice on UK and Scottish tax matters.

Corporate tax sits at the heart of many of the most interesting deals. In this role, you’ll advise on the tax aspects of company acquisitions, disposals and restructurings, the structuring of complex commercial property transactions, and the design of tax-efficient employee share incentives. The team also supports the structuring of investment funds, advises on insolvency and restructuring transactions, and provides strategic tax planning alongside transactional support.

You’ll work with a varied client base and collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm, giving you exposure to a wide range of work and the opportunity to develop deep technical expertise. Alongside transaction-focused work, you’ll also have the chance to get involved in broader tax advisory matters, including employment taxes and standalone tax planning.

Our Corporate Tax team is top ranked in Chambers (Band 1) and works closely with other market-leading practice areas across the firm. It’s a great place to build a career if you’re curious, commercially minded, and interested in developing a specialist skill set that sits at the centre of complex legal work.

What is required:

  • Ideally some exposure to tax either in studies or work experience
  • Genuine interest into moving into this area of law
