A Global commercial law firm is seeking a bright and commercially minded Associate to join its highly regarded Corporate team in Glasgow.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading Corporate team with a strong international outlook. You will work on a broad range of high-quality domestic and cross-border transactions across a variety of industry sectors, advising an impressive client base throughout Scotland, the UK and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents for mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and equity capital markets transactions.
  • Providing high-quality support to partners and senior colleagues on complex matters.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2 - 5 yrs post-qualification experience (PQE) gained within a leading commercial law firm.
  • Strong technical drafting skills and experience leading and project managing corporate transactions.
  • The ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and client relationship skills.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work directly with clients and colleagues at all levels.
