Investment Funds Associate – UK Asset Management
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)
Join a top-tier global law firm with a thriving UK asset management and investment funds practice. Work in gorgeous newly refurbished Edinburgh offices, alongside an ambitious, friendly team in a fast-moving environment.
We advise UK and global fund managers, from boutique emerging managers to large institutions, on fund structuring, formation, corporate transactions, and regulatory matters. Our work spans private and listed funds, with a strong presence in impact and development finance funds.
The Role:
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation (LPAs, side letters, IMAs, shareholder/LLP agreements).
- Review fund documentation for institutional investors and prepare due diligence reports.
- Advise on capital markets transactions for listed funds, including IPOs and fundraising.
- Develop expertise in transactional and advisory work, client relationship management, and business development.
Scottish-qualified lawyer with 2–5 PQE (more senior considered). Experience in private and/or listed funds and knowledge of UK partnership law. Understanding of AIFMD and UK financial promotion regime. Strong drafting, negotiation, commercial awareness, and client-facing skills.
